Pay close attention to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in these things, for as you do this, you will save both yourself and those who hear you. (1 Timothy 4:16)

Paul reminds us that truth is not just something we believe—it is something we live. Passion without truth leads to deception. Sound doctrine without a disciplined life leads to hypocrisy. Both our beliefs and our behavior matter to God.

What we believe shapes how we live, and how we live reveals what we truly believe. Guarding your doctrine keeps you anchored in truth. Guarding your life keeps your witness pure. When both are protected, your faith becomes life-giving to you and to those around you!

Prayer

Father, help me guard both my doctrine and my life. Keep me rooted in truth and faithful in obedience, so my life reflects Your Word.
