“For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother and sister and mother.” (Matthew 12:50, NASB)

Jesus teaches that His family is not defined by blood, but by obedience to the will of His Father. Though He had a natural family, He honored His Kingdom family—those who live to please God.

Those who obey the Father are called the children of God, making them family with Jesus.

Are you part of His family? If so, be committed to the other members of that family. Not everyone looks, thinks, or acts the same, but all are united by a desire to please the Father. Choose to focus on what unites, not what divides.
