DAY 8: DON'T SETTLE FOR YOUR BETTER
By: Pastor Marc Hannah
January 12, 2026
Then Jesus laid his hands on his eyes again; and he opened his eyes, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly. (Mark 8:23–25)
Jesus touched a blind man, and he began to see—“people like trees, walking.” Life was better than before, but not yet clear. Many would have stopped there. But Jesus didn’t settle for better. He touched the man again, and his sight was fully restored.
This is where many believers stop: spiritual moments, partial breakthroughs, improved vision. Your better is not always God’s best. Anyone can have an encounter with Jesus. Only those who stay with Him will see everything clearly—from God’s perspective. Don’t walk away after the first touch.
Prayer
Father, give me grace not to settle for spiritual moments. Give me hunger to stay close to You until the work You began in me is complete. I trust You to bring hope, clarity, maturity, and Your best.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Love you all,
PM
